About this Event

From planning, to producing, to editing your final product, the Student Multimedia Design Center (SMDC) has the tools to help you create a multimedia masterpiece.

Led by SMDC staff, the orientation will introduce you to the specialized spaces, equipment, services and software available to all UD students, staff and faculty. You’ll also tour the studios, classrooms and general computing areas.

Whether you need to rent a green screen backdrop for a video project, reserve time in one of six multimedia studios, or just know where you can get quick access to flash drives or headphones, this workshop will give you an overview of the SMDC resources available on the Lower Level of Morris Library.

An identical workshop session will be held on September 1, 2017, from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

If you are interested in learning more about the SMDC but unable to attend the workshops, please use the AskSMDC form to schedule an orientation at your own convenience.

Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend. While workshops are free of charge, registration is required as space is limited.

You may also be interested in this additional orientation workshop:
Introduction to Film & Video Collection
Wednesday, September 6, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m.

All Morris Library visitors need photo identification to enter. Visitors with UD ONEcards can use those at the turnstiles for easy access to the Library. If you do not have a UD ONEcard, you will need a state-issued ID (a driver’s license, a government-issued or school-issued photo ID, etc.) to enter.

Please call 302-831-2432 or email lib-workshops@udel.edu with questions regarding workshops.
