SUMMARY:Open and Affordable Teaching Materials: Grant Information Session for Instructors
DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin members of the Open and Affordable Teaching Materials 
 Initiative for an informal learning session about Open and Affordable 
 Teaching Materials grants. These one-time incentive grants\, offered by the 
 UD Library\, Museums and Press\, provide support for faculty who want to 
 increase the affordability of their course materials.\n\nDuring this 
 information session\, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions 
 about the grant program and get useful tips on how to submit a successful 
 proposal.\n\nCurrent faculty participants in the grant program will also be 
 on hand to share information and insights about their own affordability 
 projects\, including:\n\n\n	Dr. Sheng Lu\, Professor Associate Professor in 
 Fashion and Apparel Studies will discuss his experiences creating OER for 
 FASH through an OER authoring grant.\n	Dr.Vaishnavi Tripuraneni\, Assistant 
 Professor & Environmental Studies Director in Geography & Spatial Sciences 
 will discuss her experiences transitioning a large enrollment course\, GEOG 
 102\, from commercial resources to open educational resources through an 
 OER transition grant.\n\n\nThis online event is open to those who teach at 
 UD.\n\nRegistration is required. You will receive an email with details on 
 how to join the event via Zoom 1 day in advance of the session.  \n\nThe 
 event will be recorded and shared with all those who register.
