DESCRIPTION:Do you have a research dataset in need of review and cleaning? 
 OpenRefine\, an open-source software for data cleanup and transformation\, 
 can help you interpret and remediate tabular data\, including spreadsheet 
 data.\n\nDuring this workshop\, explore how OpenRefine can help maximize 
 the usefulness of your data and learn general organizational tricks to 
 optimize the responsiveness of your dataset.\n\nThe workshop will be 
 divided into two sections: the first\, a discussion of how OpenRefine can 
 solve your data cleaning needs\, and the second\, a Q&A session focused on 
 troubleshooting issues and the more advanced and specific functions of 
 OpenRefine.\n\nDaniel Peart\, data services librarian\, and Michael 
 Stewart\, metadata librarian\, will lead the workshop.\n\nThis virtual 
 workshop is open to the public. It is co-sponsored by the Graduate College. 
 \n\nRegistration is required. Once registered\, you will receive an email 
 with details on how to join the workshop via Zoom. The first section of the 
 workshop will be recorded.
