About this Event

Join us for a curator-led tour and discussion celebrating Where Do We Go from Here?: The History and Future of Sex Education in the United States, on view in the Morris Library Information Room from August 25 through December 18, 2026.

The exhibition examines the history of sex education in the United States through materials dating from the early 20th century to today. Featuring school curricula, legal documents, and advice books for parents and adolescents, it explores how sex education has evolved over time and been shaped by changing social attitudes, public policy and cultural expectations.

Exhibition co-curators Alison Wessel, social sciences librarian, and UD alumna Beth Wojciechowski, will lead a guided tour of the exhibition. Before the tour, they will discuss the research and collaboration behind the exhibition, share insights from the curatorial process and reflect on the exhibition's relevance to the University of Delaware community and beyond.

This free event is open to students, faculty, staff and community members. Registration is encouraged, as seating is limited. Light refreshments will be served.
