About this Event

Turn resistance into art.

Zines have long been a creative tool for self-expression, activism and amplifying voices that are often silenced. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll have the chance to design and create your own zine inspired by banned books, censorship, and the freedom to read.

Drop in anytime during the session—whether you’re new to zine-making or an experienced creator, all materials will be provided and no prior experience is necessary.

Presented in partnership with the UD Department of English, this event is part of our campus-wide Banned Books Week programming, which celebrates the freedom to read and raises awareness about the dangers of censorship.

Don’t miss the highlight of the week: the Banned Books Read-Out on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, where students, faculty, staff and the community bring banned and challenged works to life.
