About this Event
Join members of the Open and Affordable Teaching Materials Initiative for an informal learning session about Open and Affordable Teaching Materials grants. These one-time incentive grants, offered by the UD Library, Museums and Press, provide support for faculty who want to increase the affordability of their course materials.
During this information session, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the grant program and get useful tips on how to submit a successful proposal.
Current faculty participants in the grant program will also be on hand to share information and insights about their own affordability projects, including:
- Monica Frichtel, Professor of Theater and Dance will discuss her current, collaborative project to reimagine a modern dance course sequence using open and available materials as part of a larger course redesign.
- Matt Willis, Professor of Mathematics in the Associate in Arts Program, will discuss his project to create an OER that serves as the textbook and main lecture resource for Math 010, using his own materials.
This online event is open to those who teach at UD.
Registration is required. You will receive an email with details on how to join the event via Zoom 1 day in advance of the session.
The event will be recorded and shared with all those who register.
