About this Event

Python and its associated tools are at the forefront of modern research, playing a vital role in data analysis and visualization. This workshop offers essential, cross-disciplinary training in these cutting edge technologies and will equip participants with valuable skills for effective data visualization.

While prior experience with programming languages is beneficial, it is not required. The focus of this workshop will be on utilizing data frames in Pandas and passing those data frames onto Matplotlib to create data visualizations. This workshop will introduce the core concepts of these libraries, guiding participants through the process of generating simple and intuitive charts.

Kayla Abner, data visualization and analysis librarian, will lead the workshop.

This in person workshop is open to UD students, faculty and staff. It is co-sponsored by the Graduate College and the Research Office. Faculty and graduate students in data-heavy fields, like business, social sciences or physical sciences are encouraged to attend.

The workshop will not be recorded.
