About this Event

Love is love in every century.

During this workshop, create your own valentine cards that are inspired by historical examples currently held in our Special Collections. You’ll also learn about the history of creating valentine cards, including the various materials and motifs used over time.

Not feeling the love this year? Learn the tradition of Victorian “vinegar valentines” and try your hand at making one.

Petra Clark, instruction librarian for Special Collections, and Alison Wessel, social sciences librarian, will lead the workshop. Card-making materials will be provided.

This in-person workshop is open to UD students, faculty and staff.

Registration is required as seating is limited. The workshop will not be recorded.
