SUMMARY:Intro to Data Visualization with R
DESCRIPTION:Data visualizations can make the story behind your data easier
for others to understand.\n\n\n\nDuring this workshop\, explore how to use
R—an open source statistical tool—to create versatile visualizations
for coursework\, outreach or publications. You will get hands-on experience
with the platform as you create plots from sample datasets and learn best
practices of data visualization. You will also learn how to customize your
plots and graphs and how to find open access resources to continue building
 knowledge of R visualizations.\n\n\n\nDaniel Peart\, data services
librarian\, will lead the workshop.\n\n\n\nThis in-person workshop is open
to UD students\, faculty and staff. It is co-sponsored by the Graduate
College. Those who attend should have some prior basic R
knowledge.\n\n\n\nRegistration is required as seating is limited. The
workshop will not be recorded.\n\n\n\nIf you are interested in this
workshop\, you may also be interested in the Visualizing Your Data with
Tableau workshop on February 22 and the Storytelling with Data: Best
Practices for Visualization workshop on March 9.
