About this Event

In Spring 2023, undergraduate students in UD’s Department of Women and Gender Studies explored what makes a book feminist during a capstone class taught by Professor Margaret Stetz. As part of the capstone project, students selected 50 books from the past 50 years to highlight the first half-century of publishing in the field, which has been especially significant for the faculty and teaching program at UD.

Join Stetz and students from her capstone class as they discuss their research and curation of the 50 feminist books selected to celebrate the 50th anniversary of UD’s Department of Women and Gender Studies.

Margaret Stetz is the Mae and Robert Carter Professor of Women's Studies and Professor of Humanities at the University of Delaware. She has a secondary appointment in the Department of English and affiliations with the Center for Material Culture Studies and the Center for the Study and Prevention of Gender-Based Violence. Stetz will be joined by students from the Spring 2023 capstone for this presentation.
